The most visited museums of Italy: Uffizi Gallery, Accademia Gallery, Bargello National Museum, Palatine Gallery, Boboli Gardens, and all of the other State-run museums of Florence. Discover them with the newest and most engaging application!

Beginning today, the Museums of Florence are handheld!
“MUSEUMS OF FLORENCE” of ArtFirstGuide® is the new application by Parallelo for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.

You will be able to discover the greatest masterpieces of Italian and European art, to orient yourself with the map, and to prepare for your trip to Florence, always having the practical information for the museum at your disposition.

The David by Michelangelo, the Birth by Venus of Botticelli, the Annunciation by Leonardo, the Doni Tondo by Michelangelo, the David by Donatello, the Medusa by Caravaggio, the Madonna of the Chair by Raphael, and the Annunciation by Fra Angelico are only a few of the masterpieces that the Florentine museums have on display.

The application, developed by Parallelo with the Superintendent for Polo Museale Fiorentino, renders art and beauty “handheld”: with a simple touch, it is possible to choose your route, explore the museums, interact with images, and discover the most hidden details.

The application presents information in a direct and immediately comprehensible manner, through various ways to “visit”:

map
it displays the 28 State-run Florentine museums on a geographic map, according to 2 distinct views: city / territory

art works
it illustrates the 76 main masterpieces with official descriptions that are accompanied by images, always paying close attention to the accuracy of the historic and artistic information

museum
it offers the essential details for your visit: opening hours, ticket prices, reservations, practical information

news
it informs you, in real time, of the news relating to the museums of Florence: current and planned exhibits, announcements, and events.

The text and the images are of the Special Superintendent for Historic, Artistic, and Ethno-anthropologic Patrimony and for Polo Museale of the city of Florence.

Parallelo has collaborated for many years with the State-run Florentine museums by creating their official website www.polomuseale.firenze.it and by announcing all of the exhibits, events, and daily updates.
